The best Rock Musical we´ve ever seen – Bar Out Of Hell, at the Peacock Theatre, London June 1 2025.
For those not already fans of the theme…or knows about the cooperation between artist Meat Loaf and singer/songwriter/producer/multi instrumentalist Jim Steinman, let us do a brief introduction.
Everything started when Meat Loaf and Steinman joined forces that his career reakky took off. Jim Steinman had made a solo album, ”Bad For Good”, that contained a number of his songs, that later all were recorded by artists lika Streissand, Bonnie Tyler, Air Supply, Celine Dion and others…and together with Meat Loaf they struck gold in 1977 with the famous ”Bat Out Of Hell” album including hits like ”Two Our Of Three Ain´t Bad”, ”You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night) and the title song of course. Hat´s how the monster hit train started to roll. Steinman continued to create fantastic gits, lika ”Holding Out For A Hero”, recorded by Bonnie Tayler a,d ”Making Love Out Of Nothing ant All” for Air Supply and Bonnie T. Steinman´s own project ”Pandora´s Box also had a number of unforgettable hits like ”Loving You´s A Dirty Job…” and the frantic dance hit ”Dance In My Pants” with Meat oaf and Cher…in one of the best Rock videos ever made.
Not to be forgotten, are two great Steinman tunes featured in the movie ”Streets Of Fire”, where Steinman performes under the name Fire Inc.
Sadly, both Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman have passed but their music is forever and now ina new format, THE MUSICAL.

- As avid fans, we decided to travel to London before the end date of the musical, which was June 7:th this year and we succeded to book two sears, very good ones…so off we went.
The musical is cleverly built storywise, and contains most of the best songs by Steinman and nany of them also recorded by Meatloaf. The quality of the vocals, acting and movements/dance is totally awesome and the theatre, filled to capacity, had the audience spellbound throughout the whole persormance, ending with a standing ovation.
Below are a five pages excerpts from the glossy souvenir programme book, warm thanks to the producers and the pgotogaphers of this material.
